Just recently, a dog from Louisiana, in the United States, set a new record for having the “longest tongue on a living dog.” It’s amazing to think that this canine achieved such a remarkable feat so recently.
The Guinness World Records recently featured a remarkable dog on their Instagram account who broke the record for having the longest tongue. Rocky, a nine-year-old male Boxer from Illinois, USA, amazed everyone with his tongue measuring a stunning 13.88 cm (5.46 inches).
Rocky’s owners, Brad and Crystal Williams, shared that they often receive comments about their dog’s exceptionally long tongue while taking him for walks. The measurement was taken by a veterinarian during a routine dental procedure while the dog was under sedation.

In response to the post, users left amusing comments such as speculating if Rocky was named after being a Boxer breed and jokingly asking how to register a dog with spiritual problems. One person also mentioned another dog breaking the record earlier in the month.
It’s worth noting that just last month, a dog from Louisiana, US, held the previous record for the longest tongue on a living dog. This Labrador and German shepherd mix had a tongue measuring 12.7 cm (5 inches) in length, longer than the height of a soda can.
